Esteban Montorio Uribarren, Monti, is an illustrator, graphic designer and art director. After studying Fine Arts, he founded the Monti Diseinu Grafikoa studio in his home town of Bilbao. He has been involved in editorial design for over 35 years.
He is now presenting a graphic project based on the creation of an imaginary magazine called The Bilbainer, conceived as a tribute to iconic front covers of The New Yorker, under the Artizarra brand. With this work, he is following in the footsteps of similar initiatives developed in cities such as Paris, Montreal, Shanghai, Tokyo, Valencia, Brussels and Barcelona.
